Why should I choose APR?
Because we are the best at what we do. There are several reasons to GO APR over other companies. First, we are the only VW aftermarket design firm in the US with engineers on staff. Second, we only tune VAG + Porsche vehicles. Third, we have completely reverse-engineered the entire Bosch Motronic system. We can safely say that we probably know the system better than anyone in the world (except Bosch, of course). Finally, we always strive to provide the best customer service and support possible.
All APR remaps use encryption, which serve several purposes. First, it keeps prying eyes out of our software and prevents lesser companies from copying the chip and degrading the product. Secondly, the encryption prevents the dealer from flash programming the ECU. Also, all APR software is undetectable to a dealers VAG diagnostic tool.
All APR software comes with lifetime free upgrades. There is also a lifetime warranty against defects in the software (or soldering).
DirectPort Programming is used on Post 2001 vehicles and allows all of the same functionality of EMCS, but without ANY hardware. This system allows programs to uploaded to the engine ECU via the factory OBDII port.
Demonstration Software on Post 2001 1.8T + 3.2 V6 engines means software-only trials are now available. EMCS software can be loaded onto your car and demonstrated for a 6 hours of driving time after which it switches back to a standard map.
